Agnes Costello

Agnes Costello, Pharm.D., MSc. (Epi).

Dr. Agnes Costello received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of British Columbia in 1998 and her Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center 2005. She practiced as a transplant clinical pharmacist, served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Director of Transplant Clinical Research at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center from 1999 to 2005. She then joined Genzyme to lead medical affairs and support clinical development programs within the Transplant Business Unit for 8 years.

In 2013, Dr. Costello started her own company to provide consulting services to the biotechnology companies. As a medical affairs and clinical development leader, she shares her experience and insights to support clinical development and bring new and novel therapeutic agents to patients. Her therapeutic expertise includes transplant immunology, immune-mediated diseases, metabolic diseases, kidney diseases, and rare diseases.

One of her core consulting services is bringing the patient’s voice to biotechnology companies. Her passion in bringing the patients’ voice in drug development stems from her experience as a transplant clinical pharmacist caring for patients and as an investigator in clinical research. She strongly believes in educating and empowering patients so that they can play an active role in their health and in guiding biotechnology companies to develop therapies that are impactful to their health.

She is a paid consultant for Travere Therapeutics and serves as a volunteer for NephCure Kidney International and Asian Women for Health.
