Nancy Hoff

President, Philippine Nurses Association of America Foundation (PNAAF)

Nancy Hoff is the President of the Philippine Nurses Association of America Foundation (PNAAF.) She has served on the PNAAF board in different capacities since 2015. Nancy is a member of the Philippine Nurses Association of America since 1989 and served as member and chairperson of different committees. She has been a nurse for more than 55 years. She has worked as hospital staff nurse and supervisor. She has been an educator, administrator and consultant in nursing education. One of her passions is to make nurses a major contributor in making positive impact in healthcare locally, nationally and globally. Her active involvement in local and national organizations gave her opportunities to influence decision-making in nursing education and nursing practice.

Nancy has been appointed to statewide and nationwide nursing organizations’ advisory committees. She has been recognized and received awards for her work in diversity, leadership, and mentoring. She was inducted to the Central San Joaquin Valley Nursing Hall of Fame as an outstanding nursing professional who have promoted the profession through a lifetime of dedicated work and achievement. CSU Fresno awarded her in 2017 the Health and Human Services Hero Award for her significant impact and outstanding service that has made a difference for the people in their region.

Nancy fosters collaboration among minority nurses’ associations to address the need for more minority nursing leaders. Currently, in her role as president of the PNAA Foundation, she has led the organization in partnership with PNAA, to actively collaborate with several Asian and Pacific Islander organizations to better serve the community during this pandemic and in participating in projects for the future of medicine in management of diseases through research that includes disaggregated data to better serve the Asian and Pacific Islander communities.
