Azizah Ahmad

Policy Manager, Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF)

Azizah Ahmad is the Policy and Community Advocacy Manager at APIAHF. She is also an active member of the Cham community, where her commitment to social justice is rooted. Azizah has over a decade’s worth of experience advocating and analyzing policies affecting indigenous, Southeast Asian, and AANHPI communities.

Azizah began her career at National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, where she served as the Language Access Project Director and Communication Director. She later pursued a law degree, during which time she clerked for immigrant and refugee-serving non-profits and NGOs, such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Kuala Lumpur. After law school, Azizah worked in immigration law, providing legal aid to low-income residents of the Bay Area. Most recently, Azizah served at the office of the California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, where she analyzed policy on immigration, environment, health care, and criminal justice reform.

Azizah holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BA in Religious Studies and Sociology from UC Davis.
