Yvonne Hsu

Yvonne Hsu (she/her) is a 1.5 generation immigrant with fifteen years of nonprofit and government experience. She brings extensive legislative and Capitol Hill experience through her work for Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA) as senior advisor on appropriations and as part of her Democratic Caucus Vice Chair team and previously for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Yvonne served as an Obama Administration political appointee at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity and Office of Public Engagement where she championed a signature civil rights initiative to desegregate communities and secured changes to the American Housing Survey, the most comprehensive national housing survey, to disaggregate data on AAPI households. Most recently, she worked for the National Council of State Housing Finance Agencies leading appropriations strategy and other affordable housing advocacy efforts. Yvonne was the former president of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Staff Association and led the Taiwanese American Citizens League Political Internship Program. She has a bachelor’s degree in history and sociology from the University of California, Riverside. Yvonne lives in Washington, D.C.
